VAT / Sales Tax on UK, EU and Worldwide Orders

Posted by

We are a UK company but sell worldwide, and depending on where you are and whether you're buying as an individual or for a company we sometimes have to charge different rates of sales tax.  Details of this are outlined below:

UK individual: 20% VAT charged on all orders; website displays prices inclusive of this 20% VAT.

UK company, not VAT registered: 20% VAT charged on all orders; website displays prices inclusive of this 20% VAT.

UK company, VAT registered: 20% VAT charged on all orders; website displays prices inclusive of this 20% VAT, VAT invoice sent for all orders.

EU individual: 20% UK VAT charged on all orders; website displays prices inclusive of this 20% VAT, no import duty.

EU company, not VAT registered: 20% UK VAT charged on all orders; website displays prices inclusive of this 20% VAT, no import duty.

EU company, registered for VAT (or equivalent) in your own country: UK VAT not charged; website displays prices exclusive of VAT; you are responsible for accounting for VAT in your own country.  If this applies to you, please create an account on our store then contact us with your tax number so that we can switch your account to Ex-VAT pricing.

Outside-EU company or individual: UK sales tax not charged; when you fill in your shipping address, prices switch to ex-tax; you might need to pay import duty and tax to your local Customs office before the parcel is delivered.  Please note, customs policy varies by country, the charges are your responsibility, and are not pre-paid.  We will not falsely declare values on customs declarations to avoid import duty.
