Very effective surface cleaner for preparing already finishes surfaces prior to applying the next coat of paint or lacquer, particularly when refinishing. This solvent leaves no residue and does a good job of cleaning adhesives, oils, dirt, grime and general gunk from old surfaces.
Use with disposable paper towel to avoid cross contamination.
Do not use lighter fluid as an alternative to this solvent - while it removes adhesive well, it also leaves behind an oily residue which will cause awful problems when painting or lacquering over the top.
Please note that while this solvent can help to remove silicones from old polishes, they are a total nightmare to get rid of. This solvent will not dissolve them entirely. The only way to be sure is to completely sand off the old finish. Even when completely removing care still needs to be taken - silicones will stick the sandpaper you use, and if this same paper is then used to sand the bare wood in preparation for the refinish silicones will become embedded in the wood and cause problems with the new finish. Ensure fresh paper is used for each stage of the removal process.

Great, leaves no residue/film.
