Product Description

Cellulose guitar paint (sometimes referred to as nitrocellulose paint, or nitro paint) as used on vintage cars and guitars from the 50s onwards. Our cellulose paint is of restoration quality and is just like to paint used on these original instruments and vehicles. Available in a range of carefully match historically accurate colours, our solid colour cellulose guitar and car paints are a top coat which can be polished directly to a high gloss finish. We recommend applying over a white or grey cellulose base coat. For giving an aged tint use our Lightest Brown or Weak Amber nitrocellulose lacquer on top.

My first attempt at assembling and finishing a kit guitar found me searching online for suitable paints. I arrived at Rothko & Frost and placed my order. The aerosol primer and top coats went on a dream and I am overjoyed at the results I obtained.
