Dispatch Time

We dispatch orders 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. Orders placed before 1PM UK time are usually packed and dispatched same day. Anything placed after this time will be dispatched the following business day.

The exception to this is custom items (or orders containing them, as everything ships together). For most custom items we need 2-5 days to make them, so please allow this extra time for dispatch.

Returns

Our returns policy is straightforward - we like our products and hope you do too. If there's something wrong just give us a call or send a message through our Support page and we'll do our best to fix it.

Broken, damaged, not as expected or no longer required - return in 30 days and we'll refund or exchange the item.

For custom items, if it isn't as requested let us know and we'll make you a replacement.

Shipping Services

We work with four delivery companies to get your orders to you as promptly and safely as possible, while also offering a range of speeds and costs. Here's a summary of what's available...

Royal Mail, Untracked: The most standard mail service available. Best for lower value and weight orders. Dispatched with Royal Mail, and delivered by your local postal service.

Royal Mail, Tracked: Very much like normal mail but with more barcodes. Still dispatched with Royal Mail and delivered by your local postal service, but with tracking updates. These updates will typically show you when the item is collected, processed through mail centres and is with your local delivery office. With post, tracked does not equal fast - in the UK it's comparable to normal mail, and internationally we find it takes a bit longer as it has more processing to go through.

APC Standard: UK only courier. All services to mainland UK are Next Day, with non-mainland services (which includes Highlands and Islands) typically taking 2-5 days. Not as well known as some other couriers, but we've always liked their service. Depots are independently run franchises and easy to get hold of - the APC tracking page offers direct line contact numbers and emails for your local depot, so on the rare occasion there's a problem with delivery it's easy to speak to someone about it.

UPS Standard: UK and Europe only, this is UPS's mid-range road-based service. Being road based it's inexpensive compared to Express Air alternatives and also accepts HazMat (paint, lacquer, dyes etc). Fully tracked. UK shipments are usually Next Day, with Europe deliveries taking 3-7. Brexit sidenote: of all services this seems to be the hardest hit by customs delays at the moment. It's a bit hit-and-miss, with the majority of packages getting through unscathed while others are delayed. Seems to be total pot luck depending on how backlogged your local customs are.

UPS Express: Specifically, this is UPS's Express Saver. Other UPS Express services deliver by a specific time of day (e.g. pre-12, pre-10). This one is by End of Business Day. Same number of days transit time, but vastly cheaper than time-specific. Doesn't accept HazMat, so not suitable for paints etc, but great for speedy, fully tracked service for parcels of all sizes to all destinations.

FedEx Hazmat by Air: This one's pretty specialist, an Express Air service (FedEx International Priority to be exact) which carries HazMat. The actual shipping charge is comparable to UPS Express, but HazMat means there is a £35 surcharge per shipment. We include this in the price rather than displaying separately. Hazmat acceptance means this is your service of choice if you're outside of Europe and want to get your hands on some pretty special paints.

Restrictions

In terms of what ships where, there aren't any. All of our products now ship worldwide. This includes 'HazMat' items such as paints and lacquers.

Some items, paint being a good example, can only ship on certain services to certain locations.
