Do I need anything else?
For safety you should wear a filtered facemask while spraying. The filters must be A2 grade, suitable for organic vapours. We recommend wearing the included gloves. Also, wear an apron and ensure your arms are covered to minimise the risk of getting wet lacquer on your skin. Goggles should be worn at all times.
I want to use a spray gun, can I use this kit?
This kit comprises only of aerosol spray cans. If you have a spray gun or HVLP kit and would like to use that instead, you can purchase all of the above items separately to make up the kit - all sealers, primers, paints and lacquers are available in bottles for use with spray guns.
The usual colour caveats and disclaimers apply: The appearance of see through lacquers can vary depending on the wood and finishes underneath. Always test for suitability on an inconspicuos area or scrap piece first. Images displayed are previews for general guidance only, the difference in displays and your particular application mean that your finish will likely look a bit different to the one shown. Nitrocellulose is a vintage finish and will crack and discolour with time. How quickly this happens, particularly the cracking, is largely determined by how you apply it.
